Former baseball player Tony Micelli decides to go with his young daughter Samantha, nicknamed Sam, from the New York City borough of Brooklyn in a small town near Fairfield County / Connecticut. Tony has a job and soon he will housekeeper at Angela Bower, a successful advertising agency boss. This has been living her divorce with her son Jonathan and her mother Mona brisk. The differences social background are always cause for funny situations and also the ever increasing affinity between Angela and Tony regarding crucial part of the popular sitcom.    Main Characters from Who's the Boss?    Tony Micelli (Tony Danza) is a widower and former baseball player with Italian roots. Due to a shoulder injury he is forced to hang up his racing career on the nail. Now he plays Hausmann, a role to which half the Italians must get used.    Angela Bower (Judith Light) is head of an advertising agency and divorced for some time. Her son Jonathan pulls alone great. It provides Tony as a domestic one, and therefore the boss in the house.    Samantha Micelli (Alyssa Milano) is Tony's daughter in the teen years. She misses her mother very much and is therefore happy to have Angela and Mona around.    Jonathan Bower (Danny Pintauro) is Angela's son.    Mona Robinson (Katherine Helmond) is Angela's mother and grandmother Jonathan. It is often feisty and generally sexually receptive. She dates with many men in many different ages.    Background information on Who's the Boss?    The series Who's the Boss? (OT: Who's the Boss) was launched in 1983 by the show runners Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter. She ran for eight years in the American TV channel ABC. In Germany, the series was broadcast on RTL.    In the eight-year term was Who's the Boss? nominated for 40 awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe. 1989 Katherine Helmond won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Series. Alyssa Milano, the Phoebe Halliwell later in the series Charmed - Magical witches incarnate, was made famous by the show. (LM)
