The format plays mainly in a fantastic version of medieval Japan, which is populated by many creatures Japanese mythology. Many of the monsters and fairy-tale figures come from the imagination of the author. Unlike Western interpretation of the term demon Hanyo or Yōkai are not always evil beings. Instead, they just have different powers, manifestations and traits.    The plot is initially dominated by the search for the jewel shards, but also episodic cross members connect the history and the fight against Naraku finally becomes conducting motive. Always find episodes instead of Kagome's presence. In addition to numerous battles and magical conflicts, there are romantic entanglements, funny events and the relationships between the characters evolve constantly.    From 2000 to 2006, the series was broadcast in 167 episodes on the Japanese broadcaster Nippon TV. The end was left open and only the end of 2009 there was a final, comprehensive 26 episodes season - especially Inuyasha: The Final Act - the Japanese television. However, the broadcast of Inuyasha ends in Germany after 104 episodes. Accordingly, the lack of seasons in this country are not released on DVD or Blu-ray. this fact with the lack of a TV station as a partner as well as the lack of profit expectations on the German anime market is established.    In addition, four feature films were made in the context of Inuyasha franchises. In concrete terms, these are Inuyasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time, Inuyasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass, Inuyasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler and Inuyasha the Movie 4: Fire on the Mystic Iceland.
